Marie Östman appointed new Director General of the Swedish Competition Authority

Since 2018, Marie Östman has served as Chief Legal Officer and Head of the Legal and Litigation Unit at the Swedish Competition Authority. She has over 20 years of experience within the authority's supervisory areas and has previously worked at the Government Offices of Sweden as well as in a commercial law firm.

"I am honoured to have been entrusted with the role of Director General of the Swedish Competition Authority, and I look forward to continuing the development of the supervisory activities and advocacy work together with all the skilled and dedicated colleagues," says Marie Östman.

Marie Östman will assume her new position on 30 January 2025.
